Thuasne sport shoulder support 

The Thuasne sport shoulder support helps to support the shoulder during sporting activities (e.g. football, athletics, basketball, etc.). It is designed for shoulders weakened by trauma, dislocation or inflammatory conditions such as tendonitis. It is suitable for maintaining an unstable shoulder when returning to sport, to prevent shoulder dislocation or subluxation. Its anatomical design in elastic fabric covers the shoulder and the flat seams offer greater comfort. The support strap makes it easy to put on and adjust.

Simple to use

Open the hook-and-loop strap, pass it through the rear buckle and attach it to the hook-and-loop fastener. Slip your arm into the shoulder support, pass the strap under the armpit of the opposite arm and pass it through the front loop of the shoulder support. Adjust and secure the strap to the hook and loop fastener. The product is ambidextrous.

Sizes

Available in 3 sizes: S, M and L.

Measurement : circumference of biceps.

If you're between sizes, we recommend you take the larger size.

To be effective, the shoulder support must stick to the skin.

Bilateral product : The shoulder support fits both shoulders.

Additional information

Composition : polyamide, elastane, synthetic rubber (CR).

Care : machine wash at 30°C (delicate cycle).

Close hook-and-loop fasteners before washing.

Do not use detergents, fabric softeners or aggressive products (chlorine products, etc.).

Do not dry clean.

Do not tumble dry.

Do not iron.

Press dry.

Dry flat.

Dry away from a direct source of heat (radiator, sun, etc.).

For reasons of hygiene, safety and performance, do not re-use the device for another patient.

Do not put the device in direct contact with a greasy substance (ointment, cream, etc.). Prolonged immobilisation can sometimes lead to a loss of muscle tone. If the device is worn for long periods, make sure that blood circulation is not impeded.

It is recommended that the device is adequately tightened to ensure support/immobilisation without restricting blood circulation.

Do not use the device when driving a vehicle.

Contraindications

• Do not use if diagnosis is uncertain.
• Do not place the product in direct contact with damaged skin.
• Do not use in the event of a known allergy to any of the components.
• Do not use in the case of complex or surgical fractures of the shoulder or in the case of rib fractures.
• Do not use in certain post-operative situations (multiple fractures, pinning, open fractures, etc.).
