THUASNE SELF SECURITY mask

The SELF SECURITY THUASNE mask is an ergonomic mask made from washable fabric. Its 99% filtration capacity meets the regulatory requirements of AFNOR and ANSM. The anatomical fit covers the nose, mouth and chin. The nose clip allows the top of the mask to be adjusted to limit fogging of glasses. The fabric is knitted using Combitex technology, in two layers to help wick moisture away from the mask. This mask is made in France and contributes to THUASNE's commitment to eco-responsibility: the mask can be washed and reused 50 times and is Oeko-Tex®1 certified.

Why wear the Thuasne SELF SECURITY mask ?

The symmetrical construction of the fabrics2 provides identical filtering power in both directions: the user protects himself and others against the emission or projection of droplets of saliva or secretions from the upper airways that may contain transmissible infectious agents. It is suitable for staff in regular contact with the public, as well as for private use: shopping, taking transport, going to the doctor.

Easy to use

Position the mask with clean hands, with the THUASNE logo on the outside. Put the elastics behind your head, the bottom one and then the top one. Make sure the mask covers the mouth, nose and chin and adjust the nose clip. Change the mask after wearing it continuously for 4 hours, or after eating or drinking. Precautions for use

This barrier mask does not replace barrier measures (regular hand washing, physical distancing, reducing contact with other people). It adds a physical barrier enabling the user to protect his environment against particle projections.

It can also provide limited protection against infectious agents.

Correct fitting of your mask is essential to guarantee good protection.

Before putting on a mask, wash your hands with soap and water or a hydro-alcoholic solution.

The mask must be clean and dry each time you put it on.

To protect your health and that of others, it is very important to follow the instructions.

If you are ill, this mask is not suitable for you. Ask your doctor for advice.

This mask is not intended for nursing staff.

Contraindications

Known allergy to one of the ingredients.

Severe respiratory insufficiency.

Do not place the product in direct contact with damaged skin.

This barrier mask is neither a medical device within the meaning of Regulation EU/2017/745 (surgical masks), nor personal protective equipment within the meaning of Regulation EU/2016/425 (as a type FFP2 filtering mask).

Mask complying with MBS AFNOR SPEC S76-001 - filtration > 90%.

Material whose performance has been measured by the laboratories of DGA Maîtrise NRBC, 5 rue Lavoisier, 91710 Vert-le-Petit (IFTH tests ref 20-01731) and which withstands 50 washes.

Filtration efficiency of 3 μm particles > 90%.

Breathability 203 L.m-2.s-1 for a negative pressure of 100 Pa.
