DESCRIPTION
IT BAND Thuasne sport tightening band
The IT BAND Thuasne sport tightening band provides support and adjustable compression targeted at the lower part of the flat muscle on the outside of the thigh: the tensor fascia lata (TFL). Windscreen wiper syndrome’ or “runner's syndrome” is an inflammation of the iliotibial band caused by repeated flexion/extension movements of the knee. This syndrome causes pain on the outside of the knee during exercise (running, trail running, football, etc.). The Thuasne Sport IT Band helps to limit the pain associated with this condition and provides support during running.
Mode of action
Localized compression on the iliotibial band thanks to the removable insert
Proprioceptive effect thanks to the combination of anti-slip properties and a tightening system that provides support and retention
Adjustment aid thanks to the tightening buckle
Held in place by the hook-and-loop system
Indications
Pain or tendonitis of the iliotibial band (known as ‘windscreen wiper’ syndrome or ‘runner's syndrome’)
Resumption of sporting activities
Easy to use
Place the tightening band over the knee affected by ice-wiper syndrome, and place the removable insert on the outside of the knee, in the painful area. Adjust the tension of the buckle using the hook-and-loop system. The bandage is placed directly on the skin, or on thin clothing if it is not on a seam, fold or hard spot.
The product is ambidextrous and can be fitted to the left or right knee.
Size
One size fits all, corresponding to a thigh circumference of 27 to 51 cm, measured 8 cm above the knee.
