NOVELASTIC strapping knee support Thuasne sport

The NOVELASTIC Thuasne sport strapping knee support is designed to stabilise the knee joint during exercise (football, running, skiing, etc.). For example, it is suitable for knees weakened by a sprain, supporting the ligaments during sport. The anatomically-shaped elastic knit, designed to follow the shape of the knee, is reinforced with flexible stays and four crossed straps.

Simple to use

Put on the knee brace, positioning the kneecap in the soft central area, then attach the straps on either side of the knee.

Coloured dots on the end of each strap and on the knee brace guide their fitting. 

Installation is illustrated in the instructions for use.

Sizes

Available in 5 sizes: S, M, L, XL and XXL. Choose the right knee brace for your knee circumference using our size guide.

Measurement : circumference of semi-flexed knee, right in the middle of the knee.

If you're between sizes, we recommend you take the next size up.

To be effective, the brace must stick to the skin.

Bilateral product: The brace is suitable for both knees.

• Rigid components : polyamide, steel, polyethylene.
• Textile components : polyamide, polyester, polyurethane, elastane, elastodiene, silicone.

Care : machine wash at 30°C (delicate cycle).

Do not use detergents, fabric softeners or aggressive products (chlorine products, etc.).

Do not dry clean.

Do not tumble dry.

Do not iron.

Press-dry.

Dry flat.

Dry away from a direct source of heat (radiator, sun, etc.).

Precautions for use

Check the integrity of the device before each use.

Do not use the device if it is damaged.

Choose the right size for the patient by referring to the size table.

For reasons of hygiene and performance, do not reuse the device for another patient.

It is recommended that the device is adequately tightened to ensure support/immobilisation without restricting blood flow.

In the event of discomfort, significant discomfort, pain, changes in the volume of the limb, abnormal sensations or changes in the colour of the extremities, remove the device and consult a healthcare professional.

If the performance of the device changes, remove it and consult a healthcare professional.

Contains natural latex.

Do not use the device in a medical imaging system.

Do not use the device when applying certain products to the skin (creams, ointments, oils, gels, patches, etc.).

Contraindications

• Do not use if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients.
• Do not place the product in direct contact with damaged skin.
• History of venous or lymphatic disorders.
• Do not use in the event of a history of major venous thromboembolism without thrombo-prophylactic treatment.
