Thuasne sport open strapping knee brace

The Thuasne sport open strapping knee brace supports and stabilises the kneecap during sporting activities (skiing, football, running, tennis, etc.). It is suitable for supporting unstable knees, for example after lateral and cruciate ligament sprains or surgery. The double strapping ensures good lateral support.

Simple to use:

In two steps, illustrated in the instructions for use:

1/ close the fabric over the knee, adjust the patellar adjustment, then the tightening tab

2/ fix the crossed straps by folding them over the back of the knee brace. Start with the elements on the lower part and then the upper part, avoiding the patella.

Sizes

Available in 4 sizes: S, M, L and XL. Choose the right knee brace for your knee circumference using our size guide.

Measurement: circumference of semi-flexed knee, right in the middle of the knee.

If you're between sizes, we recommend you take the next size up.

To be effective, the brace must stick to the skin.

Bilateral product: The brace is suitable for both knees.

Composition :

• Textile components : polyamide, synthetic rubber (SBR), polyester, thermoplastic polyurethane, elastane, ethylene vinyl acetate, polyethylene, natural latex.
• Rigid components : polyamide, zinc alloy.

Care : machine wash at 30°C (delicate cycle).

Close hook and loop fasteners before washing.

Do not use detergents, softeners or aggressive products (chlorinated products, etc.).

Press dry.

Dry away from a direct source of heat (radiator, sun, etc.).

If the device is exposed to seawater or chlorinated water, rinse well with clean water and dry.

Precautions for use

Check the integrity of the device before each use.

Do not use the device if it is damaged.

Choose the right size for the patient by referring to the size table.

For reasons of hygiene and performance, do not reuse the device for another patient.

It is recommended that the device is adequately tightened to ensure support/immobilisation without restricting blood flow.

In the event of discomfort, significant discomfort, pain, changes in the volume of the limb, abnormal sensations or changes in the colour of the extremities, remove the device and consult a healthcare professional.

Do not use the device in a medical imaging system.

Do not use the device when applying certain products to the skin (creams, ointments, oils, gels, patches, etc.).

Contraindications

• Do not use if diagnosis is uncertain.
• Do not use if there is a known allergy to any of the ingredients.
• Do not place the product in direct contact with damaged skin.
• History of venous or lymphatic disorders.
• Do not use in the event of a history of major venous thromboembolism without thrombo-prophylactic treatment.
