DESCRIPTION
Properties/Mode of action
Cryotherapy provided by cold packs.
The knee brace comes with a set of extra cold packs that can be stored in the freezer.
Adjustable and controlled knee compression using a manual pump.
Stabilises the ligaments of the knee joint thanks to the rigid articulated side bars.
Knee brace held on the leg by 2 rear straps. Staggered straps to avoid tourniquet effect.
Precautions
Check the integrity of the device before each use.
Do not use the device if it is damaged or if the cold pack is punctured.
Ensure that the circumference of the thigh is compatible with the circumference of the product.
It is recommended that a healthcare professional supervise the first application.
Strictly comply with the prescription and protocol of use recommended by your healthcare professional.
If in doubt, consult a healthcare professional before use.
This product is intended for the treatment of a specific disease and its duration of use is limited to that treatment.
For reasons of hygiene and performance, do not re-use the device for another patient.
It is recommended that the device is adequately tightened/inflated to ensure support/immobilisation without restricting blood flow.
In the event of discomfort, significant discomfort, pain, variation in the volume of the limb, abnormal sensations or a change in the colour of the extremities, remove the device and consult a healthcare professional.
If the performance of the device changes, remove it and consult a healthcare professional.
Do not use the device in a medical imaging system.
Do not use the device when applying certain products to the skin (creams, ointments, oils, gels, patches, etc.).
Cold packs for external use only, do not ingest.
Use under adult supervision and keep out of reach of children.
Do not sit or lie on cold packs.
Do not place heavy loads on cold packs.
If the gel comes into contact with the eyes or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
Do not heat the cold pack.
Do not apply the cold pack directly to the skin.
Undesirable side effects
This device may cause skin reactions (redness, itching, burns, blisters, frostbite, swelling, discolouration or necrosis of the skin or tissues, etc.) or even wounds of varying severity.
Any serious incident occurring in connection with the device should be reported to the manufacturer and to the competent authority of the Member State in which the user and/or patient is established.
