Thuasne sport anti-epicondylitis elbow support

The Thuasne sport anti-epicondylitis elbow support is an elbow orthosis that supports and stabilises the joint. It is designed for the treatment of lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) or medial epicondylitis (golfer's elbow). It is suitable for returning to sport (e.g. tennis, golf, weight training, etc.) and helps prevent recurrence of elbow tendonitis. It supports the elbow by exerting even compression on the joint.

Easy to use

Put on the elbow support, positioning the inserts at forearm level. Attach the strap to the elbow support using the hook and loop fastener. Do not over-tighten to avoid a tourniquet effect.

Sizes

Available in 4 sizes: S, M, L and XL.

Measurement : circumference of forearm, 8 cm from elbow.

If you're between sizes, we recommend you take the larger size.

To be effective, the elbow support must stick to the skin.

Bilateral product : The elbow support is suitable for both arms.

Composition

• Textile components : synthetic rubber (SBR), polyamide, elastane.
• Webbing : polyester, polyoxymethylene.
• Insert : silicone.

Care : machine wash at 30°C (delicate cycle).

Do not use detergents, fabric softeners or aggressive products (chlorine products, etc.).

Squeeze dry.

Dry away from a direct source of heat (radiator, sun, etc.).

Precautions for use :

Check the integrity of the device before each use.

Do not use the device if it is damaged.

Choose the right size for the patient by referring to the size chart.

In the event of discomfort, significant discomfort, pain, variation in the volume of the limb, abnormal sensations or a change in the colour of the extremities, remove the device and consult a healthcare professional.

For reasons of hygiene and performance, do not reuse the device for another patient.

Do not use the device when applying certain products to the skin (creams, ointments, oils, gels, patches, etc.).

It is recommended that the device is adequately tightened to ensure that it is held/immobilised without restricting blood circulation.

Contraindications:

• Do not place the product in direct contact with damaged skin.
• Do not use in the event of a known allergy to one of the components.
• History of venous or lymphatic disorders.
• Do not use in the event of a history of major venous thromboembolism without thrombo-prophylactic treatment.
