DESCRIPTION
Oxyplastine 46% is presented in the form of a zinc oxide ointment and is used at the time of your child's diaper change, to treat areas affected by irritation (often linked to wearing a nappy) and in particular red bottoms (diaper rash).
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Oxyplastine should not be used if you have an allergy to lanolin or if applied to infected or oozing lesions. It contains substances presumed to be harmless during pregnancy and breast-feeding. However, do not use it without the prior advice of your pharmacist or doctor. Due to the risk of ingestion by newborns, the ointment must not be applied to the breast by breast-feeding women.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Oxyplastine may induce non-systematic undesirable side effects such as a cutaneous reaction like eczema (presence of lanolin).
DOSAGE AND PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Oxyplastine 46% ointment should only be applied to the skin (cutaneous route).
Apply the ointment 1 or 2 times a day for a maximum of 3 to 5 days. If symptoms persist beyond this period, consult your doctor.
