DESCRIPTION
Mycoster 1% cream is a medicine from the Pierre Fabre laboratory used to treat fungal infections of the skin or nails, and whose active ingredient is ciclopirox olamine at a dose of 1 g per 100 g of cream. Mycoster 1% cream is used in particular for the treatment of dermatoses superinfected by bacteria or not, such as trichophyton dermatophytosis, epidermophyton, microsporum other than ringworm, cutaneous candidiasis and Pityriasis versicolor. Mycoster 1% cream is also indicated for the treatment of dermatophyte onychomycosis, i.e. mycosis affecting the nails, or for mild to moderate seborrhoeic dermatitis affecting the face.
USE ADVICE
The use of Mycoster 1% cream depends on the condition being treated:
- For skin mycoses: apply Mycoster 1% cream twice a day for 3 weeks.
- For dermatophyte mycosis of the nails: apply Mycoster 1% cream for several months, in parallel with another treatment if necessary.
- To treat seborrhoeic dermatitis of the face: as an initial treatment for 2 to 4 weeks, apply Mycoster 1% cream twice a day, then as a maintenance treatment, apply 1 application a day for a further 4 weeks.
