It is used to relief constipation.

It can cause dehydration, loss of apetite, loose motion, skin itching, vomiting, inflammation.

When not to use: It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug.

Warning

Drugs to avoid : It can interact with amikacin, aspirin, azithromycin, cefadroxil.

• It should be use with caution in patients with stomach pain, bowel disease, people with anorexia and kidney disease.
• Use with caution in congestive heart failure patient when replacing fluids.
• Monitor fluid, electrolyte and acid-base balance regularly
• Use with caution in breast feeding and nursing mothers.
