DESCRIPTION
Dulcolax® 5 mg gastro-resistant coated tablet is a laxative which relieves the symptoms of occasional constipation. It acts locally by stimulating the activity of the intestinal walls and facilitating their contraction. This mechanism of action helps faecal matter to move along the colon, making it easier to evacuate¹. Dulcolax is available in pharmacies.

USE ADVICE
Adults
1 or 2 tablets maximum per day.
Pregnant women
This medicine should not be used during pregnancy. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
Breast-feeding women
This medicine may be used during breast-feeding. If you are breast-feeding, tell your doctor. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
The tablets should be swallowed without chewing with a sufficient quantity of water.
Avoid taking medicines that reduce stomach acidity at the same time, such as alkaline medicines, antacids, proton pump inhibitors or milk.
It is advisable to start treatment with the lowest dose. The dose can then be adjusted to the level required to obtain regular bowel movements.
Do not use for longer than 10 days without medical advice.
Dulcolax does not help you lose weight; it does not alter the absorption of calories or nutrients.
