DESCRIPTION

Mode of action :

The Osteomed Acute orthosis is one of the orthoses that straighten the spine. It has been designed in accordance with the guidelines of the German Osteological Association (DVO). The brace stabilises damaged/fractured vertebrae and the entire spine, from the upper thoracic vertebrae to the sacrum. The spine is actively straightened and pain is reduced. Movement in the sagittal plane is also restricted.

Indications :

• Osteoporosis
• Osteoporosis-related vertebral fractures
• Round back
• Pain therapy

Contraindications :

• Unstable vertebral fractures linked to osteoporosis
• Extensive skin injury or disease
• Extensive haematomas and large swellings

Side effects :

To date, no side-effects have been observed with proper use.
