Shoulder immobilisation sling

Properties

• Waistcoat for perfect immobilisation of the arm, elbow to body.
• Sleeve with two straps to hold the arm and hand.
• Large removable band to immobilise the arm against the body.

Indications

Trauma or inflammatory conditions of the shoulder and/or elbow - Proximal non-surgical fractures of the humerus - Shoulder dislocation - Post-operative immobilisation (following rotator cuff surgery or reduction of dislocation) - Prevention of shoulder dislocation in cases of joint instability or laxity - Support for paralysed arm.

TO REMEMBER

Immobilisation: Sleeve with two straps to support the arm and hand (elbow to body).

Additional, wider, hook-and-loop strap to press/lock the arm against the body.

Contraindications

• Do not use if diagnosis is uncertain
• Do not place the product in direct contact with injured skin
• Known allergy to materials
• Do not use in certain post-operative situations (multiple fractures, pinning, open fractures, etc.) 
• Do not use in cases of complex or surgical fractures of the shoulder, humerus or ribs.
